Bangin' Buffalo Cauliflower
Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! We've made this recipe about 3 times in quarantine, and it is so delicious. Shoutout to my sister for finding @tasty's recipe online because we love this dish!
Did you know cauliflower and broccoli are related? They're both cruciferous vegetables, but they fall under the same genus, Brassica. They both have "phytochemicals, vitamin A, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, vitamin C, calcium, iron, phosphorous, and fat to help fight disease" (1a). Get your dose of this buffalo cauliflower because not only does it taste good, but it's also good for you (1b)!
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. ground pepper
1 cup milk (almond)
1 head cauliflower
¼ cup buffalo sauce or hot sauce
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. honey or agave
Preheat the oven to 450 ˚F.
Mix the flour, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and milk in a bowl.
After breaking apart the cauliflower, bathe it in the mixture from Step 2.
Place it in an oven safe container. Bake it for about 15-20 minutes.
Combine the buffalo sauce, oil, and honey in a separate bowl.
Evenly pour this mixture over the semi-baked cauliflower.
Bake the cauliflower for another 20 minutes.
